Flamio Scout

Stop, continue or re-scan a run

Beta

Find an earlier Scout run, stop one in progress, continue one to cover the pages it missed, or scan the site again after a fix.

Every Scout run has its own page. From it you can stop a run early and still get a report, pick up where a run ended, or audit the site again with the same settings.

Before you begin

  • Anyone in your organization can find and open runs.
  • To stop, continue or re-scan a run, you need the Editor, Admin or Owner role.

Find an earlier run

Open the runs list

In the sidebar, click Flamio Scout. Recent runs lists the newest runs of your whole organization, across every project. The panel appears after the first run.

Read a row

Each row shows the site, when the run started, the pages visited, the tokens spent and a status chip.

Open the run

Click the row. The run page opens with its report and its map.

Only the newest runs stay in the list; older ones drop off on their own.

Stop a run and get its report

Open the live run

You land on the run page after you launch. Otherwise, click the run in Recent runs.

Click Stop

Click Stop in the page header. It shows while the run is queued or exploring.

Confirm

In Stop this run?, click Stop and report. Scout stops opening pages, checks what it has found and writes the report. You are charged only for what it spent so far.

A run that is still queued asks Cancel this run? instead. Click Cancel run: it leaves the queue and nothing is charged.

While Scout wraps up, the page reads "Stopping — Scout is checking what it found and writing the report." The finished report notes "You stopped this run — the report covers what Scout found up to then."

Continue a run to cover the rest of the site

Open a run that ended

Open a run that was stopped, ran out of budget or failed. Continue shows in the header only when the run left pages unwalked or ended before finishing.

Click Continue

Click Continue. The Continue this run? dialog opens.

Set the budget and the login

Set the Research budget for the new run. If the run signed in, enter the test account again under Site access — Flamio never stores it.

Start the new run

Click Continue. A new run opens. It starts from the pages already walked and opens the links left.

The new run's header reads "Continues an earlier run". Its report covers every page walked so far, and pages the earlier run already reviewed are not paid for again.

Scan the site again after a fix

Open a run that ended

Open a completed, stopped or failed run.

Click Re-scan

Click Re-scan in the page header. The Scan this site again? dialog opens.

Set the budget and the login

Set the Research budget. If the run signed in, enter the test account again under Site access.

Start the scan

Click Re-scan. A new run opens with the same address, mode, screen, what Scout may do and instruction. A board-tasks run checks the same tasks again.

Nothing carries over from the earlier run, so the new report shows the site as it is now.
